Plan your visit in three steps
Name and location
The official name is Autódromo José Carlos Pace, according to Formula 1’s circuit page. The GP organiser places it in southern São Paulo. Use the name Interlagos as well when researching transport or accommodation to identify the circuit.
A general location helps you understand the city. On event day, you need a more precise destination: the entrance authorised for your ticket. We recommend saving both details and agreeing on the same meeting point with your companions.
The track and the 2026 weekend
Formula 1’s official page lists a 4.309 km circuit and a 71-lap race. These describe the track and competition, not your walking distance or the time between a station, your entrance and your grandstand.
The organiser announces the 2026 São Paulo GP for November 6–8. Check the schedule for sessions and their time zone. We recommend distinguishing an activity’s start time from when you need to begin travelling to reach it.
Your ticket determines the entrance
The organiser’s official guidance is to check the corresponding gate on your ticket. Review the sector and entrance before leaving. We recommend keeping an offline copy and the event’s current instructions available to consult during your journey.
Plan transport, walking and meeting arrangements as parts of one journey. Our transport guide compares services and their stations; use it alongside your entrance details. A generic destination at the circuit does not replace that check.
Settle practical decisions before travelling
We recommend deciding your visiting days and identifying your ticket first. Then plan both journeys, your bag and your expenses.
You can save the checklist in this browser. The budget guide provides references and explains which costs depend on your trip; its calculator is optional. You do not need to complete a tool to read the guides or consult their sources.
The circuit, the GP and other visits
This guidance concerns the 2026 São Paulo GP weekend. Do not use its tickets, entrances or conditions as instructions for visiting on another date or attending a different event. Check the directions provided by the organiser of that activity.
Our personal experience comes from the 2024 trip and is labelled by year. It shares decisions and lessons, while 2026 conditions are checked against their sources. Read the account to understand that journey without automatically copying its departure times.
